SEMIFINALS SET AT OCAA INDOOR SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS

VAUGHAN, Ont. – Thursday kicked off Day 1 of the OCAA Indoor Soccer Championships at the Ontario Soccer Centre, bringing together 16 teams for 24 matches with only eight teams advancing to Day 2.

From the women's side:

Pool A featured Seneca (2-1-0), Conestoga (0-3-0), Humber (3-0-0) and Durham (1-2-0) with Humber and Seneca finishing as the top two teams to advance to tomorrow.

Pool B featured Centennial (1-1-1), Sheridan (0-1-2), St Clair (0-1-2) and George Brown (2-0-1) Centennial and George Brown finishing as the top two teams to advance to tomorrow.

On the Men's side:

Pool A featured Seneca (2-1-0), Fanshawe (1-0-2), Durham (1-1-1) and Sheridan (0-2-1) with Seneca and Fanshawe finishing as the top two teams to advance to tomorrow.

Pool B featured Humber (0-2-1), George Brown (1-1-1), Conestoga (1-0-2) and St Clair (2-1-0) with St Clair and Conestoga finishing as the top two teams to advance to tomorrow.

Tomorrow the match ups for the semifinals are:

Women's at 10 a.m.: Humber Hawks vs. Centennial Colts and Seneca Sting vs. George Brown Huskies.

Men's at 11 a.m.: Seneca Sting vs. Conestoga Condors and Fanshawe Falcons vs. St Clair Saints.

Following the semis, the bronze medal games are at 12 p.m. (W) and 1 p.m. (M) and the gold medal games at 1:30 p.m. (W) and 2:30 p.m. (M).
