OSHAWA, Ont. - The St. Clair Saints have moved one win away from clinching a spot in the OCAA championship game after defeating the host Durham Lords 6-0 on Friday afternoon at Kinsmen Memorial Stadium.

The Saints bats were explosive in the opening inning, delivering four runs on two hits from Garik Godard and Brendan Renaud.

Adding another run in the bottom of the third, taking advantage of a Durham error, St. Clair forced the Lords to their bullpen early as OCAA pitcher of the year Alec Brown exited the game allowing four earned runs on three hits.

St. Clair pitcher Miguel Cienfuegos earned the victory from there, shutting out the Lords through his six innings pitched, allowing just one hit.

Durham College now faces the No. 4 seed Fanshawe Falcons, while the Saints and Humber Hawks meet to see who will advance directly to the championship game.
